Kindergarten Registration:

To be eligible for Kindergarten, children must be years old on or before October 15th in the fall of the current school year, as required by the state of Maine.

Click here for some Tips and Hints from the School Nurses.

If your child did not attend one of the district preschool programs, please contact the school in your resident town to schedule an appointment for kindergarten registration.

Pre-Kindergarten Registration (not available on line):

To be eligible for Pre-kindergarten, children must be years old or before October 15th in the fall of the current school year, as required by the state of Maine.

Pre-Kindergarten Applications are accept throughout the year and when a school preschool program fills, students are placed on a wait list and maybe offered a placement at another preschool classroom, as space allows. To receive a preschool application, please contact Marjorie Scribner 207-743-8972 ext 8268 or email  m.scribner@msad17.org. When you contact us, please provide the following information: child's name, child's date of birth, mailing address and/or street address (if different), parents' name(s), and contact telephone number. Applications are currently available and more Information about the Preschool Collaboration can be found here,

Income Verification Requirement : Currently, we are not able to offer universal preschool so the MSAD17 preschool registrations are done through an application process. We prioritize applications according to income and give priority placement to applications that are 200% or below (Current Federal Income guidelines available here ). Parents/guardians will be asked to provide documents that represent the household income. In August if we have not filled the classrooms, we will look at applications that are over the 200% guideline so we encourage everyone to apply.
