Parent-Teacher Conferences- October 25 and 26
This year’s school calendar has students attending school each day of Parent-Teacher Conference week with regular start and dismissal times. OHMS Parent-Teacher Conferences are scheduled for the following dates and times:
Wednesday, October 25- 2:30-4:30 pm
Thursday, October 26- 3:00-7:00 pm

At OHMS, Parents and Guardians are able to schedule 10-minute conferences with any teacher that they would like to meet with. You can meet with some or all of your child’s teachers. Save the date for OHMS dances!
Last week, Mrs Dimitri, Ms. Sessions, and Officer Legare led a select group of 25 students from Team Baxter through some engaging activities at Roberts Farm. Students completed various end of the season gardening tasks. The first group of students planted garlic into raised beds on the farm. The students separated the garlic heads into cloves and planted it into four raised beds. A second group of students removed tomato cages as well as pulling the plants out of the ground. A third group of students cut and folded cucumber netting. While they were doing this, some of the students found some full grown cucumbers! The last task students worked on was Lasagna Gardening. Roberts Farm has been experimenting with “lasagna gardening” in some of the raised beds in the back corner of the farm. The students layered leaves/straw, soil, garden waste (the old tomato and cucumber plants), and cardboard on top of a layer of soil from the raised beds. After they completed all of these tasks, the entire group went for a hike in the woods and enjoyed a scavenger hunt along the way. Upon their return, they had lunch outside on the picnic tables and played some games. Fresh salsa was made and topped off some delicious nachos made by Ms Sessions and Officer Legare. Fun was had by all!
The OHMS Applied Academics program would like to thank the management and staff at The Square for giving the students in our program a tour and and an informational session about the restaurant business!

Green & Gold Camp!!!
We are excited to announce the return of our Spring Fling Semi-Formal Dance. Come walk the red carpet Friday, April 29th from 6 to 9 PM at South Campus. Please note semi-formal attire is not required to attend. The cost to attend is $5 and Student Council will also be selling concessions at the dance.

7th and 8th Grade Softball Tryouts 2022
OHMS Softball Tryouts will begin on Monday March 28th for PITCHERS AND CATCHERS ONLY- please report to the North Campus gym directly after school.
Tryout Schedule: 2-4pm
Monday March 28th- Pitchers and Catchers- North Campus Gym
Tuesday March 29th- Pitchers and Catchers
Wednesdays- NO PRACTICE
Thursday March 31- All Players- North Campus Gym
Friday April 1st- All Players- North Campus Gym
Please be ready to start as close to 2pm as possible and come prepared to also be outside, dress appropriately.

We are excited about the number of girls interested in playing softball this year. We have close to 50 girls between both 7th and 8th grade. Unfortunately- we will not be able to keep all of you. We will keep as many as we have jerseys available (approx 14 for each team). 8th grade girls who played last year and did not turn in your jerseys- please turn into the health office.
****Activity Bus**** runs on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday
South Campus Athletes will take the bus to North Campus. If your child does not normally take a bus, please have them check in at the South Campus Main Office to find out which bus to get on.
